These earrings, together with the necklace, designed by architect Tobia Scarpa for the Milanese silversmith San Lorenzo, refer to the archetypes of Renaissance jewelry as it has come down to us in pictorial iconography.
A fine silver wire - rhodium plated to obviate difficult maintenance - forms a circular loop in which small pearls of silver are imprisoned.
